Description

This discus was used by Mac Wilkins when he qualified for the 1980, 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics. Wilkins, a 1968 Clover Park High School graduate, won the silver medal at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles with a throw of 66.30 meters (217.5197 feet) and placed fifth (65.90 meters, 216.2073 feet) at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The United States did not participate in the 1980 Summer Olympics in the Soviet Union. Wilkins and 460 others received a Congressional Gold Medal.
