Description

A wooden racket used in the sport of racquetball was donated by Sid Williams and used by Pat Galbraith. Galbraith was a dominate high school tennis player for Bellarmine Prep from 1982-85 as he won three state 4A boys singles titles and leading the Lions to four Narrows League championships. Galbraith went on to earn a scholarship to UCLA where he was the doubles champion in 1988 and a then-Pac-10 singles winner in 1989. Galbraith didn’t quit there. He went on to a 12-year professional career in which he and his playing partners included Jim Courier, Wayne Ferreira and Rick Leach, won 36 ATP Tour doubles championships. Galbraith’s doubles team was ranked No. 1 in the world in 1993. He was ranked No. 1 individually among doubles players during the 1993 and 1994 seasons. Galbraith played on two U.S. Open mixed doubles championship teams and twice played in the Wimbledon doubles title match.
