Description

A blue-stripped ribbon adorned with a commemorative bronze medal is seen in this photo from the a competition in 1955. The second-place medal belongs to Judianne Fotheringill Fuller, who competed in the 1964 Olympics. Fotheringill Fuller, a Chehalis native, began skating with her brother in pairs competition and attended Clover Park High School in Tacoma. The pair placed second in 1962 in senior competition and won the U.S. title in 1963-64 and a bronze in 1963 North American Championships. The Fotheringill’s also competed in three World Championships with their best finish in seventh place at the 1963 Worlds and the 1964 Olympics. Judianne Fotheringill Fuller was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
