Description

The Tacoma Cubs earned this ring when they won the Pacific Coast League championship in 1969 and it belonged to Ed Honeywell, a long time local sportswriter for the Tacoma News Tribune who was also an official scorekeeper for the Tacoma Cubs for many years. Tacoma finished that season with an 86-60 record and the Cubs had an impressive 3.01 team ERA, helping them win the PCL championship. Honeywell, who was a sportswriter for the Tacoma News Tribune for decades, was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 1972.
