The Browns won the second of their four NFL championships after the 1954 season. Paul earned all-NFL honors for the 1955 championship season.
Paul played football and baseball at Washington State and was a fourth-round pick by the Cardinals in 1950 out of Washington State University. Paul was selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
