A football from the 1954 season was presented to Fife High School graduate Don Paul, who was a halfback and defensive back for the Chicago Cardinals (1950-53) and Cleveland Browns (1954-58) of the National Football League. The Browns won the second of their four NFL championships after the 1954 season. Paul earned all-NFL honors for the 1955 championship season. Paul played football and baseball at Washington State and was a fourth-round pick by the Cardinals in 1950 out of Washington State University. Paul was selected to the Pro Bowl four times. Paul had 73 carries for 469 yards and three touchdowns and caught 48 passes for 690 yards and seven touchdowns during his NFL career, according to profootballreference.com
