This trophy, donated by former Silver Skis champ Shirley Fopp, went to the champion of the men’s open Daffodil Cup ski race in 1956. Don Gasway of Tacoma is listed as the ‘56 men’s champion on the silver Daffodil Cup trophy. The race held on the slopes above Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park, was one of many events held as part of the annual Daffodil Festival.
