It was the only season Tacoma was affiliated with the Yankees. And it was a memorable season. The Tacoma Yankees compiled an 80-57 regular season record and advanced to the league championship against Albuquerque. Tacoma and Albuquerque were named co-Pacific Coast League champs after the championship series was canceled due to rain. It was the year of the Yankees.
