Description

The 1974 Creekwater Dispensary women's slowpitch softball team placed 19th at a national tournament that year. This team is one of the great slowpitch teams to come out of Tacoma and they qualified for a national tournament that year in Elk Grove, California. Phyllis Textor played catcher on this team and was a key player in their trip to nationals. Textor, who graduated from Federal Way High School in 1972, continued to play on the team until about 1985, earning most valuable player in the state tournament twice.
