A black corduroy baseball cap is embroidered with “Tacoma Express” and the team’s helmet.
The Tacoma Express was a member of the Minor League Football System in 1990 after moving south following a 1-10 season as the Seattle Express, playing at Snohomish.
Owner Worth Skinner announced plans to play home games at the Tacoma Dome. The Express played in the Dome for a 61-0 win over the Moscow Bears in a glorified scrimmage in front of an announced crowd of 1,303.
Skinner exited the team so the league took over operations for the season-opening four game road trip in Colorado, Oklahoma and California, all losses.
The Express played their home opener on Aug. 11, 1990, a 17-10 win over the California Outlaws at Stadium Bowl. The Express lost their next three home games before the league folded the Express on Sept. 7, 1990.
