Description

Skaters and Ice Follies performers Joby Moore and Leilani Sims are shown in costume in front of an ice skating back drop. The Ice Follies were the precursor to the Ice Capades which featured elaborate production numbers and costumes and later include several Olympians and world champion skaters. By 1955 the show had eight performances and 175 skaters. The rink also became the entertainment hub for Tacoma area residents since its opening in 1938 and continued until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished
