Description

Five metal emblems from the Pacific Northwest Archery Association competition are shown in 1939 after they were presented by Harry C. Johns, president of the PNAA. The 1938 Boys Junior Championship National Archery Association of the United States championship was awarded to Harry “Sonny” Johns. Johns, of Tacoma, was a Pacific Northwest champion and the Washington State Archery Association’s Junior Champion from 1937-1940. It was during that time Johns won the boys national junior title as well. The national association consists of 49 chartered state organizations and nearly 1,000 clubs. Various classes of archery within the association include are bow, freestyle, freestyle limited, freestyle bowhunter, traditional, freestyle limited recurve and crossbow.
