Description

Harry “Sonny” Johns of Tacoma was an accomplished archer in the northwest and national level, as proven by this trophy won by Johns. The trophy was awarded to Johns from the National Archery Association Junior Championship in 1938. Johns recorded a quadruple score 2,710, a double score of 1,380 and a single score of 698, in San Francisco. Johns was a Pacific Northwest champion and the Washington State Archery Association’s Junior Champion from 1937-1940. It was during that time Johns won the boys national junior title as well. Donated by Frances Johns Kern.
