Description

A commutative red, white and blue-striped ribbon depicts a medallion with an etching declaring the winner of the 1940 Marble King tournament. The medal was won by Vernon Keister. Marbles was a very popular game of chance played by children from about 4,000 B.C. played in Rome and ancient Egypt. The game migrated to Europe and the United States, with children playing the game in the streets, playgrounds and in backyards.
