Description

This shirt was worn by Dave Tuell, who bowled on the Senior PBA Tour and made the final three times. Tuell began bowling at age 11 and rolled his first 300 game when he was nearly 17 years old. He helped the University of Washington bowling team to collegiate championships in 1955 and 1956. In 1963 Tuell founded the Tacoma All-Star Travel League and bowled until his death in 2003. In 1974, Tuell beat Jeff Mattingly to win the Tacoma Masters Championship and was inducted into the Greater Tacoma Bowling Hall of Fame in 1981 — the same year he played on the state championship team. Tuell joined the Senior PBA Tour in 1990. His best season was in 1995 when Tuell won the Tacoma Senior Masters, PBA Regional, Western Washington Senior Bowling Association and Northwest Seniors. Tuell was inducted into the Washington State Bowling Hall of Fame in 1995 and the Pierce-County Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
