Dick Greco, one of the most prolific home hitters to ever come out of Tacoma, is in this team photo. In his 12 seasons in the minor leagues from 1946 to 1957, Greco smacked 333 home runs. In his 4 ½ seasons with Tacoma in the minor leagues, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Greco belted 126 home runs, averaging about 30 homers a season. He was a home run kid, but he was also a steady hitter. In 1950 with the Tacoma Tigers, Greco led the league in hits (203), total bases (363), home runs (36) and RBI (154). He was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 1969.Lexicon
