Description

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant autographed this game-worn helmet, which was donated by the Trufant Family Foundation. Marcus Trufant was a three-sport letter winner while playing at Wilson High School in Tacoma in football, basketball and track. While at Wilson, Trufant earned offensive player of the year in football, Mr. Defense in basketball, was an All-State player, and the Class 4A player of the year by the Tacoma News Tribune and Seattle P-I. As a senior Trufant scored 30 touchdowns, rushed for 1,800 yards and recorded 48 tackles and eight interceptions on defense. Trufant was recruited by Washington State University and was a member of the 2003 Rose Bowl team and didn’t allow a touchdown against him in his final two seasons. Trufant was the 11th pick overall in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and played in the NFL for 10 seasons with the Seahawks and Jacksonville, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2008.
