A plaque honors Puyallup High School’s Jim Vest, who in 1964 became the second football player from the state of Washington to be named to the Parade Magazine All-American team.
Vest, a defensive end, went on to play for the Washington State Cougars and was a 15th round pick by the New Orleans Saints in the 1970 NFL draft.
