Description

Baseball autographed by members of the 2005 Tacoma Rainiers team. The 2005 Tacoma Rainiers were one of the most successful teams in franchise history as they made a run all the way to the Pacific Coast League Championship against Nashville. The Rainiers (80-64 record) were managed by Dan Rohn who was named the PCL manager of the year. Tacoma lost the first two games against Nashville and forced a 13th-inning game in the best-of-three series. Nashville’s Nelson Cruz (who went on to play for the Seattle Mariners) hit a three-run home run to beat the Rainiers. Tacoma did win five PCL Championships in its history; 1961, 1969, 1978, 2001 and 2010.
