Description

This Cook's champagne bottle was donated by the Tacoma Rainers. They celebrated when they became the Tacoma Rainiers in 1995 when they began their affiliation with the Seattle Mariners and that connection remains today. Since that affiliation began, most of the Seattle Mariners talent has passed through Tacoma. The prospects who turned to stars include Alex Rodriguez, Raul Ibanez, Felix Hernandez, J.J. Putz, Kyle Seager and more. Tacoma has maintained that affiliation with the Mariners, but before that it changed frequently. From 1960 to 1965 they were the Tacoma Giants, then from 1966 to 1971 they were the Tacoma Cubs, then from 1972 to 1977 they were the Tacoma Twins, then in 1978 they were the Tacoma Yankees, then in 1979 they were the Tacoma Tugs, then from1980 to 1994 they were the Tacoma Tigers.
