A pair of wooden skis made by Tacoma ski jumper Sigurd Johnson in 1915. Johnson competed and often won ski jumping competitions at Mount Rainier staged by the Northwest Ski Club. In 1918 he won with jumps of 67 and 68 feet. In 1919, as Goldwyn Studios shot footage for the film “Silver Horde,” he went farther (95 and 100 feet) to win again. He failed to win in 1920, but won in ‘21 with a jump of 126 feet.Lexicon
