Description

Ruggles Larson, a 1952 Lincoln High School graduate, began an 11-year amateur boxing career in 1947, fighting in 119 fights and compiling an impressive 93-23-3 record. Boxing at 132 pounds, Larson boxed in the Golden Gloves and the Diamond Belt tournament in Tacoma in the mid 1950s, going 7-4-3. He lost split decisions in the championship bout in 1952, 1954 and 1956.
