Greco graduated from Stadium in 1943 and served in the Navy during World War II.
Greco played minor league baseball from 1946-57, including five stints with the Tacoma Tigers of the Western International League.
Nicknamed the "Babe Ruth of the bush leagues," Greco hit 328 home runs in the minors, winning the home run title four times. He played 1,565 games in the minors, compiling a .326 batting average with a .585 slugging percentage.
After his playing career, he worked 17 years as the Pierce County Auditor but in 1987 was convicted of nine counts of bribery and one count of official misconduct, serving time in prison from 1994-98.Lexicon
