This is Dave Svendsen’s No. 90 football jersey he wore while playing for the Sumner High School Spartans from 1963-65. His number was retired in 1968.
Svendsen went on to play for Grays Harbor Junior College and Eastern Washington University, where he was named to the NAIA All-American squad in 1967 and received honorable mention honors in 1968.
A three-year letterwinner for the Eagles, Svendsen set EWU career records for receptions (147), yards (2,238) and touchdowns (26).
Svendsen was selected in the 11th round by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1969 NFL draft, but was one of the last cuts out of training camp.
Svendsen was one of the 13 wide receivers/tight ends on EWU’s "100 for 100" all-time team selected in 2008.
