Description

Jersey worn by Christal Morrison while playing volleyball in Puerto Rico for the Bayamon Cowgirls in 2008. Puyallup native Christal (Morrison) Engle was an outstanding volleyball player at the University of Washington who went on to success at the national level and on the professional beach volleyball tour. While at Washington, Engle was an outside hitter where she became the first four-time AVCA All-American in school history, and was the first Husky to be named first-team All-Pac 10 all four years. Engle helped Washington win the NCAA Championship with an improbable 3-0 sweep over No. 1 Nebraska in 2004. As a senior in 2007, Engle left UW as the school’s all-time leader in kills (1,859), attacks (4.726) and points (2,188). Engle was named to the U26 women’s beach volleyball team in 2009 and played for three seasons.
