Description

This plaque was awarded to center Guyle Fielder of the Seattle Totems for reaching 1,500 career points during the 1968-69 season. The plaque is inscribed, “Golden Guyle” Fielder, “1500” “Seattle Totems 1968-69” and has a Totems puck and a golden statue of a hockey player attached. Fielder finished with 20 goals and 74 assists for 94 points that season for the Totems of the Western Hockey League. Fielder played in the NHL for 15 games with the Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings (1957-57) when the league consisted of the original six teams. The Potlach, Idaho, native set the professional hockey record for points in a season (122) during the 1956-57 season with the Seattle Americans of the Western Hockey League. Fielder topped 100 points in a season four times and had 10 seasons of 70 or more assists. Fielder spent 15 of his 22 WHL seasons playing for Seattle teams (Bombers, Americans, Totems).
