Description

Skiers play in the snow on and around the lodge at Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park in 1929. Skiers started flocking to the area in the early 1900s to play in the snow. Paradise was home to America’s first ski school, founded by Otto Lang in 1936. The Tacoma Ski School, which taught thousands of people to ski, got its start at Paradise.
