Marv Harshman, the longtime basketball coach at Washington State University and then the University of Washington, received this trophy when he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985. Harshman began a successful coaching career after playing football, basketball, baseball and track at the Pacific Lutheran College in the 1930s. After graduating, he then coached basketball and some baseball and football at PLC before moving on to Washington State to coach basketball. His teams won 642 games over 40 years.Lexicon
