Description

This is an oil painting portrait of left-handed pitcher Craig Parks-Hilden, a third-round pick (No. 46 overall) by the Houston Astros in 1967. Parks-Hilden, a 1967 graduate of Bellarmine Prep, started 20 games in the minors, posting a 12-8 record with a 3.20 earned-run average before arm injuries derailed his career. Parks-Hilden was the city scoring leader in basketball in 1967, averaging 19.5 points for Bellarmine Prep while earning all-city and all-state honors. In youth baseball, Parks-Hilden won state and regional Connie Mack titles, and earned All-Star honors at the 1966 Connie Mack World Series.
