In 1999, 50 years after becoming a certified ski instructor, Rich Nelson was honored with this “Skiing Legends Award” presented by the Professional Ski Instructors of America and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors. Nelson attended Lincoln High where he competed on the ski and hockey teams.
