Description

This is a hockey puck from the Tacoma Rockets’ inaugural Western Hockey League game against the Seattle Thunderbirds on October 11, 1991 at the Tacoma Dome. The puck features “91-92 INAUGURAL GAME” and “THE RETURN OF HOCKEY TO THE TACOMA DOME” in blue on the perimeter of the white circle, with “Tacoma Rockets vs Seattle Thunderbirds,” “Friday Oct. 11th, 1991” and “TACOMA DOME” in red letters below the Rockets logo. On the other side of the puck is the logo of a corporate sponsor. The Rockets finished with a 24-43-5 record that season.
