Description

A man stands on the snowbank above a 1930 Model A Ford at Mount Rainier National Park. The massive amounts of snow at the park has made it a popular destination for skiers since the early 1930s. In the 1930s, Paradise hosted the U.S. National Championship and was the site of America’s first ski school. Rope tows were once in place at Paradise, before they were removed to preserve the natural setting.
