The silver rectangle tie clip was worn by broadcaster and station manager Jerry Geehan.
The tie clip reads, "KTAC Jerry Geehan Manager Winthrop Hotel Tacoma, Wash. Office Broadway 2-224"
Geehan started his career at KVI-AM in 1932 and became the first announcer for the Tacoma Tigers of semiprofessional baseball team of the Western International League in 1937.
Starting in 1938, Geehan broadcast college baseball games and doing a daily sports roundup for KMO-AM. He bought KTAC-AM in 1952 and ran the station for 17 years.
