In this black-and-white photo taken in about 1939, 75 men and women dressed up in suits and dresses stand on a lawn bowling rink with bowling balls on the ground in front of them. The photo is probably of the Tacoma Lawn Bowling Club, which was started in 1929. But after 85 years, the Tacoma Lawn Bowling Club folded due to a decline in new members. Then in 2017, the club was reestablished and continues to draw new fans. In 2019, the Tacoma Lawn Blowing Club celebrated its 90th anniversary.Lexicon
