Description

After starring for Sumner High School and the University of Washington, Nick Hagadone was the No. 55 pick of the first round by the Boston Red Sox in the 2007 draft. Hagadone, who was ranked as Boston’s No. 2 pitching prospect by Baseball America in 2008, was traded in 2009 to the Cleveland Indians and was promoted to the major leagues in 2011. Hagadone broke a bone in his left forearm in frustration after leaving a home game, a 10-3 loss, against the Tapma Bay Rays on July 6, 2012. Hagadone gave up two runs in two-thirds of an inning and hurt himself slamming a door on his way to the clubhouse. Hagadone complied a 3-2 record with a 4.72 ERA in 143 games during a five-year career with the Indians.
