Description

Lakewood’s Jermaine Kearse played for the hometown Seattle Seahawks from 2012-2016. Kearse was a standout athlete at Lakes High School — he caught 54 passes for 903 yards his senior season — and went on to star at the University of Washington. At Washington, Kearse led the team in receptions his sophomore season, and was named a second-team All-Pac-10 selection. As a junior Kearse led the team in receptions again, with 63 for 1,0005 yards and 12 touchdowns and earned another All-Pac-10 second team selection. In his final season, Kearse had 47 receptions for 699 yards and seven TDs. Kearse was signed an an undrafted free agent with Seattle and was part of the Super Bowl-winning Seahawks team in 2013. Kearse was traded to the New York Jets for the 2017 season.
