Description

Tacoma Stars forward Steve Zungul was one of the top players in the Major Indoor Soccer League After starring for Hajduk Split in his native Yugoslavia from 1971-78 and making 14 international appearances for Yugoslavia, he moved to the United States to play for the New York Arrows of the MISL and the Golden Bay Earthquakes of the North American Soccer League. He was named MVP of the NASL in 1984. Zungul then took his skills indoors, playing in the MISL for the San Diego Sockers (1984-86, 1988-90) and the Stars (1986-88) and earning the nickname "Lord of All Indoors." Zungul played for eight MISL championship teams (four each with the Arrows and Sockers) and is the MISL's all-time leading scorer (652 goals, 1,123 assists).
