Description

Marlene Jackson was a performer in the Lakewood Ice Arena’s Ice Follies show, circa 1950. Jackson, a 1952 Stadium High graduate, was one of many skaters who performed in the popular shows. By 1955 the show had eight performances and 175 skaters. The rink hosted numerous shows and was the entertainment hub for Tacoma residents until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished.
