Description

This Tacoma Tigers baseball coat was worn by batboy Bob Dawson Jr. in 1951 and donated by the Tigers organization. The Tigers were members of the Pacific Coast League for one season, 1904-05, the Pacific Coast International League (1918), Northwest International League (1919), the PCIL again in (1920-21) and the WIL in 1922, 1937-1951 with a break in 1943-45 due to WWII. The team won five league championships in its history, with the latest coming in 1994. Following that season, the Tigers became affiliated with the Seattle Mariners and changed their name to the Tacoma Rainiers.
