Description

A 1998 Tacoma Timbers baseball jersey was donated by their former general manager, Brad Cheney. The Timbers were a semi-pro team from 1994-98. The team qualified for the National Baseball Congress World Series four out of five seasons and placed in each of those tournaments (17th and 7th twice). Tacoma played for the national championship in 1996 where they finished as runner-up. The Timbers won the Pacific International League championship in 1996-98. The team was coached by Norm Webstad, from 1993 to 1995, who also was a scout for the Seattle Mariners from 1978-1989.
