Jack Walters lines up another iron shot, something he was very good at. He got an early and successful start in golf. At just 16, Walters won his first Washington left-handers tournament in 1929. He entered his first National Association of Left-Handed Golfers (NALG) Championship in 1937. In 1960 with his hometown cheering, Walters had another dream performance when he won the national left-handed golfers tournament at the Fircrest Golf Club. Walters, at the end of his career, called the win his “end of the rainbow victory.” He won two national tournaments for lefties, winning his first in 1953. He won the Pacific Northwest lefties title an impressive 16 times.Lexicon
