The Tacoma Stars of the Major Indoor Soccer League pose for a team photograph for their inaugural season in 1983-84. Mark Peterson (No. 6, front row, third from right) was a graduate of Wilson High School who started his professional career with the Seattle Sounders. Peterson scored 79 goals in 127 matches for the Stars from 1983-86. Peterson earned six caps for the United States men's national team from 1980-85, scoring one goal. The Stars finished with a 22-26 record that first season.
