In this black-and-white photo, Frank Pignataro is wearing a TAC patch on his dark suit. Pignataro was a past director and a longtime supporter of the Tacoma Athletic Commission and its commitment to local youth sports. Since its inception in 1945, the TAC has provided opportunities for youth to play sports and it has recognized athletes for their accomplishments, presenting them with awards. Each year, the TAC presents Athletes of the Year awards in 23 sports at 34 high school. More than 700 students-athletes, families and friends gather four times a year at the athlete of the year presentations. Over the years, TAC has remained committed to supporting youth sports by volunteering, donating money and by presenting achievement awards. They have raised and donated over $6 million and they continue to be encouraging and enthusiastic about youth sports.Lexicon
