Frank Ruffo, Fred Hutchinson and Jimmy Ennis pose for a picture. Hutchinson was born in Seattle (August 12, 1919) was a former Major League Baseball player who's career spanned from 1939-1940 and from 1946-1953, and he managed from 1952-1964 with his only year off from managing in 1955. Hutchinson served in World War II like many MLB players (1942-1945) a part of the U.S. Navy. Hutchinson died of cancer on November 12, 1964 at the age of 45. The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center was named in his honor and founded in Seattle, Washington.
