Description

Standing at the head banquet table, Bobby Adams, general manager of the Tacoma Giants, speaks at a community gathering. Before becoming the Tacoma Giants general manager, he played 14 years in the major leagues from 1946 to 1959. After his playing career and after coaching with the Chicago Cubs, he was named the club president of the Triple-A Tacoma Cubs of the Pacific Coast League. Adams' six-year tenure in Tacoma ended in 1971 when Chicago moved its Triple-A team to Wichita, Kansas.
