Stadium High School graduate Milt Woodard, fourth from right, poses with former football star Mel Hein, fourth from left, along with six game officials from the American Football League (AFL). Woodard, a baseball player for College of Puget Sound (now the University of Puget Sound), was a sports writer for the Tacoma News Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times, was an official for the AFL (assistant commissioner 1960-66, president 1966-70). Hein, who played at Burlington High School and Washington State College (now Washington State University), was an eight-time first-team All-Pro center for the New York Giants. He was supervisor of officials for the AFL from 1966-69.
