New York Yankees legend Babe Ruth, center, and teammate Bob Meusel pose with members of the Tacoma City League All-Stars on October 18, 1924. Ruth played first base for the Tacoma City League All-Stars, Meusel played left field for the SW Washington Timber League All-Stars. Tacoma won the game, 5-3. Ruth, after hitting three home runs during batting practice, got one hit in eight at-bats during the game, an RBI double to center field. Meusel, after homering twice during batting practice, hit a home run to left field in his seven at-bats.
