Here is black-and-white photo of Paradise Inn taken from a distance and through the trees that surrounded the lodge. The historic hotel was built on the slopes of 14,500-foot-high Mount Rainier at 5,400 feet. The inn is where many of the 10,000 climbers who attempt to climb Mount Rainier begin their climb. The inn opened in 1917 and it was declared a national historic landmark in 1987. In 2006, Paradise Inn was closed two years for renovations.Made/Created
