Like father, like son. Legendary coach John Heinrick (left) congratulates son Jack Henrick on coaching the Stadium High School (Tacoma) boys basketball team to the 1959 Class 4A state championship, checking out John's commemorative championship jacket in this photo. John Heinrick coached football at Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma) and then at Stadium, his alma mater. He later coached football and basketball at the University of Puget Sound, where he later became athletic director. He was inducted into the Helms National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame, Washington State Sports Hall of Fame, Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame, the UPS Athletic Hall of Fame and the WIAA Hall of Fame. Jack Heinrick's 1959 basketball team went 21-3, beating Burlington-Edison 70-50 in the state championship game.
