John Heinrick, an NAIA Hall of Fame coach, was inducted into the University of Puget Sound Hall of Fame in 1973. Heinrick was the Loggers’ most successful coach in its history. He had an 88-46-11 football record, winning or sharing five Evergreen Conference titles in 17 seasons. Heinrick also coaches basketball from 1945-59, winning 187 games and twice advancing to the NAIA Tournament in Kansas City. Heinrick is also a member of the Tacoma-Pierce County Hall of Fame and the Helms Coaches Hall of Fame. Photo by Kenneth G. Olllar and Tacoma General Hospital.
