Description

Retired professional wrestler Frank Stojack presented a cartoon caricature to Dr. Charles Larson during a Tacoma Athletic Commission event in 1962. Larson served as president of the Tacoma Athletic Commission in 1955 and was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 2009. Stojack, who grew up in Tacoma, played two seasons for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the NFL before becoming a professional wrestler. Stojack won four Pacific Coast Junior Heavyweight wrestling championships and was light heavyweight champion of the world from 1953-57. Stojack was elected to the Tacoma City Council in 1953 and served as Pierce County Sheriff from 1958-62.
